Green Quartz is a relatively rare stone in its natural state, and most green Quartz on the market today is actually low-grade heat-treated amethyst. (not here though)

Natural Green Quartz comes from a small number of locations around the world, with the primary source being a mine in Brazil. Deposits have also been found in Poland and Canada, but these are much smaller.
