Agrimony, (Agrimonia eupatoria) AKA cocklebur and stickwort, Agrimony is a genus of flowering plants in the rose family, with records to indicate the ancient Greeks used agrimony for eye ailments and brewed it into teas to address digestive issues and liver problems. The English poet Michael Drayton even hailed it as an "all-heal," reflecting its widespread use as a cure-all in folk medicine. Across the English Channel, Anglo-Saxons took a different approach, boiling agrimony in milk for a purported remedy for male impotence. it was also Believed to be good for the bladder and kidneys when steeped in wine and then drunk.

Medicinally, modern science hasn't fully caught up to traditional beliefs. The presence of tannins, natural astringent compounds, lends some credence to its historical use for diarrhea and sore throats. It's important to consult with a medical professional before using it.

Agrimony finds little to no use in modern culinary practices. The leaves may have been consumed in teas historically, but the taste isn't exactly described as pleasant.

Stepping into the realm of magick, agrimony has interesting associations. In some traditions, it's been linked to warding off negativity and promoting inner peace. Folklore suggests placing a sprig of agrimony under someone's pillow to ensure a restful sleep.
