Red Clover (Trifolium pratense) is. native to Europe, Western Asia, and North Africa, but has spread throughout the world. Evidence suggests its cultivation began in ancient Greece and Rome, valued for its ability to improve soil fertility. Red clover's characteristic with three leaflets even earned it a place in Celtic mythology, symbolizing faith, hope, and charity.

Medicinally, Red Clover is believed to possess decongestant, anti-inflammatory, and skin-soothing properties. Research shows promise, for reducing hot flashes in menopausal women. Consult your medical professional before using red clover for any health concerns, as it can interact with certain medications.

Culinary uses for red clover are less common but still interesting. The flower heads can be brewed into a tea, said to have a slightly sweet and grassy flavor. Young leaves can also be eaten fresh in salads or cooked like spinach. However, due to the presence of certain compounds, it's best to consume red clover in moderation.

Magickly, its red flowers have been used for love spells and rituals for attracting good luck.
