Boneset leaves have enjoyed a long history of medicinal use among various cultures. Native American tribes traditionally employed it in the form of poultices or teas to treat fevers and colds. This practice continued well into the 19th and early 20th centuries, with boneset tea becoming a popular folk remedy for similar ailments throughout North America Boneset is often used in poultice applied to the skin near broken bones.
