Action & Uses: A specific for allergic contact dermatitis associated with the plants Poison Oak, Poison Ivy, and Poison Sumac. Helps relieve the itching and can prevent or lessen the occurrence of blisters. When first applied there is an overall soothing feeling and relief of the itching. Continued use can minimize the intensity and spread of the dermatitis and speed up the healing process.
Dose: Preparation: As soon as possible, wash the exposed areas with hot soapy water in such a way that the soapy water drips immediately off the body and does not drip or flow down and contaminate unexposed areas. Rinse thoroughly any areas that have been exposed to the soapy water. Topically apply compound liquid to any areas of the skin that are irritated and itchy.
Cautions: Avoid getting compound into eyes. In cases of severe irritation and/or broken skin, topical application of this compound may sting painfully. Therefore, at first only apply a small amount to a small area and see how that feels. If pain is unbearable, which is rare, then dilute compound with water (half and half) and try again. If there is then no pain, continue applying until whole affected area is covered. Rarely, certain highly sensitive individuals may have a severe reaction to Poison Oak, Ivy or Sumac that can lead to impaired breathing. If this situation arises or is suspected, immediately seek emergency medical care.
